Introduction

Presently working as Principal Scientist (Plant Physiology) at ICAR IISS Bhopal. Major work include plant physiological research work on nutrient use efficiency using nano-technological approaches; and Impact, adaptation studies on climate change on agriculture. I have conducted an in-house project entitled “Nanoparticle delivery and internalization in plant systems for improving nutrient use efficiency of agricultural crops”. I have been associated with the modeling and adaptation studies with respect to climate change program of the institute. Besides, I have been associated with in-house projects on Agronomic management for improving nutrient use efficiency through modified urea materials and Foliar feeding of Zn micronutrients for its enrichment. I have conducted two contract research projects viz. (1) “Evaluation of plant nutrition product for improving nutrient use efficiency of cereals” sponsored by Nagarjuna Fertilizers and chemicals ltd, Hyderabad during 2012-2015; (2) Evaluation of nano-nutrients product (NUALGI) for improving nutrient use efficiency of crops sponsored by NUALGI Nanobiotech, Bangalore during 2014-2015. I have also conducted an inter-institutional project namely “Enhancing Resource Use Efficiency in Pulse Based Cropping System in Central India” with IIPR Kanpur. Recently I have been associated with NASF project of ICAR entitled “Simulating the effect of elevated CO2 and temperature on crop yield, water productivity and produce quality under varied water and nitrogen stress in soybean-wheat cropping system”.
